Kevin Lowe has some serious testicular fortitude and now I have respect for him as a GM. Its no secret that I have never like Ryan Smyth as a player. I admit he's good with the charity stuff but I think he's high on himself. He will never be as good on any other team than he is with the Oilers. I think I might start to cheer for the Oilers now. We got some good potential....the typical Oiler trade.

Smyth was asking for too much; Lowe was unwilling to bend and go less than a five year deal.
They are both to blame.
I bet we try to resign him in the off season.
Agreed. Lowe dumped him off. I mean...O'marra has a chance to be ok but thats based on him winning 2 gold medals in JR's.
