So today I decided to crack open the newspaper..usually I just read the sports section but I saw a title about Tie Domi. Basically he had an affair with Belinda Stronach?? It also talked about how he had an affair with Tia Carrere?? How is Tie Domi such a playboy? He's a meathead. I especially liked how the Leafs tried to make a big deal out of his retirement...come on...I thought the retirement of my 8 yr old cousin from hockey was more of a story than Domi. Don't get me wrong, the Leafs are one of my fav teams, only because I grew up watching them...I'm talking Alan Bester, Russ Courtnall, Gary Leeman....the Leafs of the 80's/early 90's. The Leafs sucked then and they do now.
On another note, Steve Yzerman was made the VP of the Red Wings. He'll slowly take his place as the leader of the entire world.

ok I have to know. What is so great about Yzerman? A boy I went to Jr High with idolized him too, wore his jersey all the time!
well..since you asked...this is going to be a long response...here we go:
i've watched him since JR hockey and he's been my favorite player/hero my since i was about 4. first i'll talk statistics - he's ranked as 6th all time leading scoring in NHL history. He's won the Lester B. Pearson award, Conn Smythe Trophy, the Selke Trophy, The Bill Masterson Memorial Trophy, 9 time NHL allstar, 1983 World Junior Championships Bronze medal, 1984 Canada Cup champion, 2002 Olympic Gold medal, 3 Stanley Cups & longest serving Captain in NHL history.
I met him for the first time when I was 12. He was the nicest player I've ever met. He signed everything I had and offered to sign more the next time he was in town. I met him through Brad McCrimmon - too long of a story to get into.
I associate growing up with hockey and Steve Yzerman because he made me want to play hockey. I've watched this guy over his NHL career and has been my fav from day 1. I could go on forever. The guy also has a horse shin transplanted in his leg...if thats not a reason to like the guy then I don't know what is.
Ok, but is he hot? my standards for hockey players aren't very high, obviously, as I was crushing on Roloson's helmet! LMAO!
the leafs didn't make a big deal out of his retirement because they bought him out of his contract. i heard on the radio that it was tie domi himself who called the news conference to announce his retirement (and did a little self promotion by mentioning his new gig on tsn). he's lame. and darren millard (from sportsnet) does a radio show on fan 590 (the radio show they show on tv sometimes), and he was just ragging on domi and how much he hates him.
this guy called into the edge and said that he used to manage some club, and tie, tia, and her mom came in one night and wanted to order food, but the kitchen was closed, but basically ordered them to open it.
what a loser he is.
looked like it was a Leafs thing because he was sitting in front of a Maple Leafs logo wall. i can see now that he did it because i didn't think he was worth all that hype. i could see a little article about it or something but not a huge conference.
