So we all know that our mens hockey team lost to the Russians. I was surprised to hear that Paul Kariya was not on the team. Now I'm no expert like the "Gambling One", but I would think that Team Canada would have Paul Kariya and Jamie Staal - hot goal scorer. Instead he put together a b-rate team. I feel sorry for Joe Sakic because how is he supposed to lead a team that expected the Olympics to be a cake walk. Well...at least Gretzky made some money this because I'm sure he wagered against Canada. Also, I bet Sidney Crosby changed his diaper a few times watching that game on t.v. because Ovechkin showed who the more dominant player is.
Another thing, Di...I thought Captain Canada was Steve Nash....maybe even Stubby Clapp.. surely not Ryan Smyth. After watching some of the Olympics...I'm surprised that Canada is winning so many medals in speed skating and cross country skiing. I'm predicting in 2010 we take gold in the Biathlon...we can take the Norwegians....I'm part Norwegian...maybe I should train to take the biathlon.

maybe each sport has their own captain canada, and for hockey, it's smytty.
jeremy wotherspoon choked at the olympics though. he's suppose to be dominant in men's speed skating, but he didn't even medal. meh.
i love biathlon, mostly because i love busting caps, but i neither cross country ski or shoot, so it'll be a hard sport to pick up. speed skating is the shit, wotherspoon is past his prime though.
